GENERAL MILLS BOX TOPS:  (365 days per year!)
Traditional Box Tops clips are being phased out of production, but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. You can still clip and send them to school. Every valid Box Tops clip is worth 10¢ for our school. Make sure each one has a clearly visible product acronym and expiration date.

Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label. If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online.

ROOM PARENTS (All year long)

Room parents are the key to helping the PTO communicate with parents, soliciting donations and volunteers, and assisting teachers with organizing class parties and other activities.  Room parents are solicited and selected early in the school year, with additional volunteers needed in each classroom to help with parties, donating supplies and assisting with events such as Fall Festival. Our Room Parents only reach out to gather their parent contact information during the beginning of the year. If you did not see sign-up information at the beginning of the school year, or if you would like to make sure that your child’s room parent includes you in communication, please reach out to your child’s teacher so that he or she can forward your contact information to your Room Parent.

FUNDRAISERS
Please consider supporting the PTO with active participation by purchasing, and/or encouraging others to purchase from our fall sale. Please let an executive board member know if you are interested in helping with the fundraisers held.

ROLLER SKATING PARTIES
PTO sponsored family skating parties at the Olympic Skating Rink.  This is a fantastic event for our entire Middlesex community. Voluntary “cost” of skate rentals and admission for the entire family is a donation of a small item of need at the school; specific items of need (such as a box of tissues or hand sanitizer) are announced prior to the event. Want a fun, easy way to volunteer?   A volunteer organizer is appreciated to make sure the event is advertised and our donations make it back to school.

BINGO NIGHT

Our annual Family Bingo night is a great evening of fun for the entire family.  Come out to play, eat, socialize….and perhaps win some great prizes.  The BINGO committee is responsible for planning, organizing and carrying out Bingo Night from start to finish.  Volunteers are needed to be table attendants, run the refreshment stand, donate baked goods, and solicit prizes from area businesses.  We also welcome donations of homemade crafts, personal services, gift certificates or other items suitable for use as prizes.  Keep your eyes and ears open for Time To Sign Up request for donations/volunteers early in the new year.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT
This amazing family event is fun for the entire family.  Carnival games, food, bounce houses, prizes, face-painting and more!  The Family Fun Night committee is responsible for planning, organizing, and carrying out this carnival-type event.  Volunteers are needed for short volunteer windows so that you can enjoy the rest of the night with your family.  Help set up or clean up, sell tickets and refreshments, run games, staff food stands and donate baked goods. Keep your eyes and ears open for Time To Sign Up request for donations/volunteers early in the Spring.

STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
The PTO holds a luncheon on a day set aside in May to show our appreciation to the staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The chairperson(s) for this event plans the theme, organizes set-up and clean-up of the luncheon.

**NOTE REGARDING VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES-The Commonwealth has mandated that most volunteers who work with children complete a variety of background checks. Please CLICK HERE to be directed to the district’s VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES page with information on how to complete your clearances, or to submit copies of current clearances that you might already hold.  Not all PTO volunteer positions require clearances, although to volunteer during the school day, serve as Room Parent, or chaperone field trips (as just a few examples) will require current clearances.
