Middlesex Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization Scholarship Application

The Middlesex Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is proud to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a former Middlesex Elementary student preparing to graduate from Cumberland Valley High School and attend post-secondary education and/or training. This scholarship will be awarded based on financial need, academic achievement, employment history, and involvement in school and community activities. See application attached below.

The following criteria will be evaluated when choosing a scholarship recipient:

Must have attended Middlesex Elementary School
Must be a Cumberland Valley High School senior
Must be enrolled in a post-secondary education institution and/or training within the next academic year
Must submit a completed application with essay, and a copy of transcript

Please submit your completed application, essay, and transcript by April 14, 2025, to the following address: Middlesex Elementary School c/o PTO Scholarship Committee, 250 North Middlesex Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. Completed applications may also be emailed to CV Middlesex PTO.

Middlesex Elementary PTO awards scholarship to Adyson Butler!

The recipient of the 2024 Middlesex Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is Adyson Butler, a 2024 graduate of Cumberland Valley High School graduate from Carlisle.

Adyson will be attending the University of Pittsburgh in the fall to study psychology.

During her senior year at Cumberland Valley High School, Adyson served on the leadership team for Mini-Thon that helped raise funds for kids battling cancer.

In her scholarship application essay, she mentions Middlesex’s motto “Soaring to Success” and how it embodies the spirit of achievement.

“My dream is to become a psychiatrist, specializing in helping teenagers facing mental health challenges. I aspire to be a guiding voice, supporting individuals like myself to “Soar to Success” and pursue their passions without the weight of mental health challenges.”

The Middlesex Elementary PTO Scholarship is a $1,000 award given to a former Middlesex Elementary student preparing to graduate from Cumberland Valley High School and attend post-secondary education and/or training.
