Our PTO is a volunteer group whose main purpose is to support the entire Middlesex Elementary community of staff, students and families by providing additional educational resources, programming and community-building/family-focused activities throughout the school year.

The PTO relies on your support and participation to help make our children's school experience as enriching, positive, and enjoyable as possible; please help us to make a difference at Middlesex!  If you would like to volunteer, have a suggestion for a meeting agenda item, or simply have questions, please email us at cvmiddlesexpto@gmail.com.

We hold fundraisers and seek volunteer assistance throughout the school year to help support our programming.  Some events/programs that have been sponsored by the PTO include:

  • Fall Festival

  • Field Day

  • Educational programs 

  • Student assemblies

  • Student field trips

  • Funds for teacher and staff classroom supplies

  • Funds to support various teacher and staff-led initiatives

  • Environmental Education Trail

  • Author visits

  • Environmental Days for our 5th graders

  • Colonial Day and Native American Speaker for our 4th graders

  • After-school programs such as running clubs and Math 24

  • Family Bingo Night

  • Holiday Shop

  • Family Fun Night

  • Family social events, such as our annual ice-cream social

  • Social and emotional needs-driven resources

There are many ways to support our PTO, but we can not do what we do without our volunteers!  
Regardless of your schedule, we can find something that will be a perfect fit for you and your family. Of course we can use room parents and committee chairs, but we also need people to make phone calls from home, bake cookies (or buy them from the store!), donate a pack of juice boxes from time-to-time, and clip Box Tops for Education.  Everyone can be a help to our PTO.

Any parent or person with direct influence on a Middlesex Elementary student may be a member of the Middlesex PTO, joined by attending a PTO meeting, with immediate voting rights. Any person may suggest an agenda item to discuss in a PTO Meeting. Please email the PTO Board of Directors at the email listed to propose an item, with a brief description of what specific details you'd like to discuss at least one week prior to the meeting time.
