Positive Behavior Support

Middlesex School-Wide Positive Behavior Support

There are 3 underlying expectations for behavior at Middlesex: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. No matter where students are at in the building they are expected to model these behaviors. There are friendly reminder posters in classrooms, specialist rooms, cafeteria, and in the hallway. Throughout the school year, students will earn points for their houses for exemplar behavior, special accomplishments, and more. We currently have four team houses- House of Communicators, House of Problem Solvers, House of Critical Thinkers, and House of Confidence; aligned to our Portrait of an Eagle. The 2024-25 school year will include the addition of two houses - House of Empathy and House of Adaptability. Each house includes students from every grade, fostering a sense of community throughout the school, and a focus on collaboration and teamwork. We are looking forward to our houses scoring big points again this year! We will also be looking for students to exhibit exemplar behaviors with our competency trait focus each month. Thank you for your continued support at home with encouraging these expectations.
