Pollinator Meadow

The open space that is enclosed by a fence at the east end of the trail was used as the site for a previous Eagle Scout project, but has since fallen into disrepair.  This site is designed to be a native pollinator meadow that has flowering trees, flowering perennials, and native ground cover to provide nesting habitat for pollinators.

Since falling into disrepair this area has become overrun with invasive species and will need a creative design to go along with the necessary physical labor involved in restoring the area.  The first step will be to remove all invasive species from the surrounding area followed by the planting of seed or seedlings to support the space.
