Much of the educational content along the trail is on metal signs that are expensive to update. In order to provide more flexibility to the educational opportunities along the trail we would like to build and install several kiosks at key locations along the trail. These structures would need to be built to withstand the weather and would need to have water-tight compartments that can house paper educational material. These compartments should be visible through Plexiglas windows that can be opened to update the educational materials inside.
The three main locations for these kiosks are in the outdoor classroom, in the open space directly adjacent to the playground, and in the "upper classroom" at the western end of the trail. Each of these kiosks can be its own project, but you are welcome to take on more than just one if your are feeling up to it!
